What we process and why

To process an order we use the data you enter at checkout: name, delivery and billing address, email address, telephone number where given, and the contents of the order. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract.

Our store runs on Shopify (Shopify International Ltd., Dublin, Ireland), which processes this data on our behalf under Art. 28 GDPR. Payment data is handled by the payment provider you choose at checkout; we do not see full card details.

Delivery data is passed to the carrier for the sole purpose of delivering the order.

Cookies

Cookies that are necessary for the shop to work are set on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Analytics and marketing cookies are set only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25 TDDDG); you can withdraw consent at any time through the cookie settings.

Retention

Order data is kept for as long as commercial and tax law require — as a rule six to ten years (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO).

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for us the data protection authority of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
